Monitoring Systems

Monitoring systems can be designed to meet individual needs. Simple systems involve pressure mats or magnetic trip switches that activate an audible, visual or vibrating alarms to notify the carer if the person with dementia is wandering.

Call systems may also be included in this category.

More complex systems can use infra red sensors and pressure mats connected via computer software to 'learn'  normal lifestyle patterns. Variation from these patterns can be used to activate call systems.

Two way communication pendants can be used to talk to call centres.

Some companies will design individual soultions for different care needs. Ridley electronics
